International Organisation for Migration (IOM) on Sunday said that no terror attack can prevent them from working in Afghanistan.
Richard Danziger, IOM's Chief of Mission for Afghanistan, while talking at a conference in Kabul said that Taliban's attack on IOM's office in Kabul was an organized terrorist incident.
"We will be back to work tomorrow (Monday), not a hundred percent, but we will be operational and we are not going to let the terror attacks prevent us from doing the tasks we have been asked to do in Afghanistan," Richard Danziger told reporters.
The IOM office in Kabul has said that it will intensify its security and take measures to protect the lives of its employees in Afghanistan.
The comment from IOM comes in after the Friday attack in Kabul city that killed five including Afghan security forces and injured 14 others.
The siege began when a suicide bomber detonated a car bomb outside the gates of a compound of the IOM in the Shahrara area of Kabul city.
The blast sparked off a prolonged gun battle between the security forces and insurgent gunmen for over eight hours.
Meanwhile, the Afghan Interior Ministry warned that terrorists in Kunar and Nuristan are being prepared to carry out attacks in Afghanistan.
"We have information that schools in Bajaur are preparing strategies to carry out suicide attacks," Sediq Sediqqi, Spokesman of the Interior Ministry said.
The Ministry praised the capabilities of the security forces in fighting the Taliban and other insurgents.
"We have established forces of good ability. They can destroy the Taliban extremists and other insurgents," Sediq Sediqqi, Spokesman for the Ministry of Interior said.
Meanwhile, recent operations carried out by the Afghan security forces in controlling terror activities was appreciated by President Karzai.
Apparently, attacks by the Taliban have increased after Afghanistan's close relations with India made news, which has allegedly angered Pakistan.
