A Nato soldier was killed in a terror attack in the Eastern part of Afghanistan on Sunday, Isaf said.
"An Isaf service member died following a direct-fire insurgent attack in Eastern Afghanistan today," Isaf said in a statement.
Isaf did not provide more details about the exact location of the incident and the nationality of the soldier.
It is known, most of the US troops are stationed in the Eastern part of Afghanistan.
The death brings the number of foreign troops killed in the Afghan war this year to 66, according to icasualties.org.
The foreign troops will leave Afghanistan by the end of 2014, after the withdrawal, Afghan security forces will take the charge of security in the country.
There are around 100,000 foreign troops in Afghanistan helping over 300,000 Afghan security forces fight insurgency.
