The Afghan National Standards Authority has had discussions with a number of donors to create accredited institutions to issue quality certificates, officials said on Saturday.
Foreign specialists will come to Afghanistan to create this institution, ANSA officials said.
After creating this authority within the framework of ANSA, products in domestic and international markets will have accredited quality certificates, officials said.
The Technical Deputy of ANSA, Mujeeb-ul- Rahman Khateer has said that quality certification institution will start their activities next year.
"ANSA is working on creating an institution that can issue quality certificates based on international standards for Afghan products. These certificates will be beneficial for the market of Afghan products inside Afghanistan and exports to better global markets," he said.
Officials at ANSA added that in the first step, quality certificates will be issued to food and agriculture industries, and afterwards to textile and mining products.
