Supreme Court Attack Badly Affected Civilians: Kabul City Residents

The residents of Kabul city on Wednesday said that the Taliban's suicide attack on the Supreme Court employees badly affected the civilians. 18 civilians were killed and 45 others injured in the attack.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Public Health said that all the victims of the attack were staffs of the Supreme Court and none of the judges were killed or injured in the incident.

The Supreme Court driver Daoud Shah, one the victims, was the only breadwinner for his family, comprising of four children and wife.

"The ones who made my children orphans, the great Allah will make their children orphans too," Daoud Shah's wife told TOLOnews.

"We had breakfast together with Daoud Shah and at 6 pm on Tuesday we receive his dead body," Daoud's Father said.

Windows of buildings within the vicinity of the blast site were shattered.

Meanwhile, the residents living in the blocks near to the area said that the cars of Supreme Court should not be allowed to pass through this road.

"The government and Supreme Court should close the road," a resident of one of the nearby blocks said.

The incident happened when a car loaded with explosives was detonated at the parking lot of the Supreme Court compound in Kabul city at 4.15 pm on Tuesday.

It is said that the car hit three shuttle buses which were waiting to pick up the Supreme Court employees. All the buses were badly damaged.
