A group of four suicide bombers on Wednesday evening attacked the office of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in the eastern Nangarhar province.
The Provincial Police Chief, Mohammad Sharif Amin said that one of the suicide bombers blew himself up in front of the ICRC office door in Jalalabad city. A security guard of the ICRC was killed in the attack.
The Head of ICRC in the province, Anis Baburi is also injured in the attack.
The clash between the suicide bombers and security forces ended after three hours. All the suicide attackers were killed by the security forces.
The Spokesman of ICRC confirmed the incident.
It is said that there were six foreigners inside the building when the suicide bombers attacked. All of the six foreigners were rescued.
