Mullah Naiem Kor, a key Taliban commander in Parwan province was reportedly killed on Sunday in an Afghan National Civil Order Police special operation, Ministry of Interior said in a statement.
The operation was conducted in Seya Gard district of Parwan province, the statement said.
Three other terrorists were wounded in the operation.
Mullah Naiem, also known as Umaduddin, was reportedly involved in many incidents, destructive activities and in the killing of civilians in the district and other areas of Parwan province.
The statement did not provide more details about the operation nor about security forces' casualties.
