The Ministry of Interior Affairs (MoI) has finished the security review of 323 new polling stations suggested by the Independent Elections Commission (IEC). Six of the said polling centers face security threats, local officials said on Monday.
The suggestions by IEC came after the security officials submitted an assessment to election officials indicating that 414 out of 6,645 total polling stations country-wide would likely remain closed in April due to security threats.
A suicide attack targeted a foreign troop vehicle near the Pul-e-Charkhi prison in east of Kabul on Monday afternoon. The attack killed two contractors working for the International Military Coalitions.
A statement released by the ISAF, confirmed that two people were killed by a "vehicle-borne improvised explosive device attack."
