Four policemen were killed and another was injured in a roadside bomb blast in southern Kandahar province on Friday, local officials said on Saturday.
The incident took place in Panjwai district of the province, when their vehicle struck by a roadside bomb, said Ahmad Zia Durani, a spokesman for Provincial Police Chief.
The victim has taken to a nearby hospital, he said.
No group including the Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Insurgents frequently use Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) to target Afghan and NATO troops, but often most of the victims are civilians.
