One would-be suicide bomber was fatally shot by a tribal elder's private security guards Tuesday night near the 7th District police station on Darul Aman road in Kabul, according to officials.
The Deputy Interior Minister for Security Affairs Mohammad Ayub Salangi spoke to TOLOnews about the incident.
The suicide bomber was reportedly killed while trying to attack Mullah Alam, a tribal elder from Northern Baghlan province, at his residence in Kabul.
Alam's son was also reportedly wounded in the incident.
No one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
