After an elaborate voting process, the newly inducted members of the Electoral Complaints Commission (ECC), elected Abdul Satar Saadat as the chief of the Commission on Thursday. The ECC has been started its work.

Additionally, Reeda Azimi and Nader Mohseni were elected as the deputy head and spokesman of the ECC, respectively. After the swearing-in ceremony, the newly appointed members voted to elect the head, deputy head and spokesman of the Commission.
The five members of the ECC- Abdul Satar Saadat, Reeda Azimi, Nader Mohseni, Azizullah Aryafar and Payghumbar Qul Doghan, took the oath in presence of President Karzai and several other dignitaries on Thursday at the Presidential Palace. Reeda Azimi happens to be the only woman in the ECC's newly appointed team and Mr.
Doughan was a Governor of one of the districts in Faryab province.
Mr. Saadat, a lawyer by profession and Mr. Aryafar had contested for the post of Chairman of the ECC.
