The Pakistani government on Monday said that it would soon be releasing Mullah Baradar, the former deputy of the Taliban's top leader Mullah Omar, from prison. Pakistani officials said that Baradar would be sent immediately to either Saudi Arabia or Turkey, effectively validating rumors that the venue for the new round of negotiations would indeed be relocated from Qatar.
