Sayed Mohammad Ibrahimkhil, General Consul of Afghanistan in Peshawar, Pakistan is concerned over the increasing tension between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
The Afghan General Consul in Peshawar has said that the worsening relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan has had a negative impact on numerous consular works.
The Afghan General Consul, in an exclusive interview with TOLOnews has said that the tension between Islamabad and Kabul have badly affected the consular works. He added that nearly 50 Afghan diplomats needed a visa but the Pakistan Government denied.
He has said that it has been shared with the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs but until now no concerete solution has been found out.
The General Consul of Afghanistan said, "The Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs has shared the issue with the Pakistani General Consul in Kabul and he has promised to discuss the issue with the Pakistani officials. About 44 Afghan diplomats along with their families are waiting for a visa from the Pakistani Government."
Sayed Mohammad Ibrahimkhil further added, "Due to security reasons we cannot go to Afghanistan by car; hence, we need a visa. Four of our diplomats whose work term have ended don't have a visa. They will have to return to Afghanistan by car if the visa is not issued."
Now, one needs to see what step the Pakistan Government takes to address this diplomatic issue.
