Saur revolution was the beginning point of wars in Afghanistan, a number of Afghan MPs said Saturday, 35 years after the revolution in which a coup d'état by the communist People's Democratic Party of Afghanistan (PDPA) brought down the government of then Sardar Mohammad Daud Khan in 1978.
MPs remarked as well that besides 7th of Saur (Saur Revolution), 8th of Saur (Mujahidin taking over the communist party on 28 April 1992) caused tragic circumstances, and following both dates millions were killed and injured for the sake of different groups and beliefs.
